On Oct. 22, I’m curating a concert in association with Machine Project and Community Arts Resources at the Getty Center’s Family Festival.
Four composers/performers and I will play a stone wall on the exterior of the Getty Center with mallets. The wall is lined with pitched travertine tiles, which we mapped out (see partial image above) and wrote five new compositions. There will also be a group audience-participation piece following the individual pieces.
An exciting mix of compositions have been written by Mike Lockwood, Andrea Young, Colin Wambsgans, Ellen Reid and myself.
Come check out one of the sets!
